about me!

who am I?

I’m a lover of words, a professional rambler, a daily visitor (guest, tourer, traveller) to thesaurus.com, and a recent recipient of a B.A. in English. My written work is all over the place: poetry, essays, media commentary, literary analysis and the occasional radio monologue. I love interacting with people and I am always overthinking the world around me, trying to spin it into a story worth telling and reading.

I have served in a variety of writing roles—you can check them out on other pages—and I am reaching a confidence in my self-identification of “writer.” I think that words have power and that my training in writing—literary, creative, and otherwise—allows me to help others best express themselves.

I am a forever listener to my inner monologue, perennial notebook carrier, and feverish ideator. I bring enthusiasm to all of my projects, and I keep my plate full.

To me, writing is a way of paying attention to the world around me and experiencing moments beyond their given time. Through words, we are able to share experiences with one another and become a little more connected. Right now, I’m gathering ideas for whatever project comes next, preparing to tell the next story.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, photography (the majority of stills on the site are my film pics), watching live music, and community organizing. I love spending time with my friends, travelling, and keeping myself busy. I do not do well with large bugs or empty schedules.
